Family Friendly Workplace Initiative
When businesses, as well as governments, invest in policies that give parents the support they need to raise happy and healthy children, societies and economies can thrive.
Investing in a workplace that promotes children's well-being and rights means contributing to the development of a more equitable society, while also benefiting the companies that implement these policies leading to increased employee satisfaction and retention.
The Family Friendly Workplace Initiative is a mentoring program designed to support large companies based in Italy in adopting and implementing strategies that promote the well-being and rights of children.

The short film below, created in collaboration with Think Cattleya and Saatchi & Saatchi Italy, explores this idea from a different angle: through the lens of children’s well-being.
How it works?
Companies joining the initiative will receive access to a set of management tools, including: a self-assessment to evaluate their current level of maturity in family-friendly policies and a framework of effectiveness indicators co-developed with SDA Bocconi School of Management.
Participating companies will also receive a recognition certificate to share internally and externally, marking their commitment.
The initiative aims to raise awareness in the private sector about the importance and urgency of embedding children's rights into workplace policies. Family-friendly policies are not just the right thing to do—they are a strategic investment that benefits companies, families, women, and children.
Why Invest in Family-Friendly Policies?
Providing time, resources, and services to parents and caregivers during children’s formative years has a lasting impact on brain development, health and well-being, learning abilities, and social skills- even influencing their future earning potential.
